I have to call my mom!

You know that feeling when something happens and your first instinct isn't to post about it, screenshot it, or update your LinkedIn? Your first instinct is to call your mom. That's what happened when I found out I'd been accepted into the Forbes Business Council.

Let me rewind.

I've always loved writing. Not the corporate kind — the real kind. Sharing knowledge, telling stories, writing things that might actually help someone make a better decision on a tough Tuesday afternoon. Over the years, I've written dozens of articles across my career. And somewhere in the back of my mind, there was always this quiet goal — almost too ambitious to say out loud:

One day, I'll write something for Forbes.

Well. That day came.

And my first reaction wasn't to craft a clever LinkedIn post. It was to pick up the phone and call my mom. Because some milestones don't belong to your professional network first. They belong to the people who believed in you before anyone else did.

I'm now part of a community of leaders I've admired for years — founders, CEOs, and thinkers who are shaping how the world works. And I get to contribute my perspective on the things I care about most: remote leadership, the future of work, VR, AI, and why most of what we've been told about management is wrong.

My first Forbes contribution is already live.

It's a piece on how companies should structure sales incentives to drive real business growth. My take? Incentive systems should work at multiple levels — individual, team, and company-wide. KPIs need to be measurable, tailored to each level, and co-created with employees. When people care not only about their own effectiveness but also about their team and the company as a whole — that's when real growth happens.

This isn't a one-time thing. It's the beginning. More articles are coming — on remote work, leadership without the BS, and building at the intersection of VR and AI.

Stay tuned. Things are about to get interesting.
